Transforming Agricultural Waste into Sustainable Solutions

Our product

At NETA, we transform agricultural waste into molded fiber molds — sustainable, versatile forms that can become a wide range of eco-friendly products.
Our first creation, a biodegradable date box, demonstrates the potential of this technology to replace plastic packaging with natural materials that are strong, compostable, and beautiful.
Each mold is crafted from date palm fronds, an abundant agricultural by-product, and engineered for performance, circularity, and design flexibility. From packaging to horticultural and household uses, our process opens new possibilities for sustainable manufacturing and waste reduction

Simple, Sustainable Molded Fiber Solutions

Versatile Applications

Our molds can be adapted to create multiple product lines — from biodegradable boxes and trays to containers for agriculture, retail, and logistics.

Waste into Value

By repurposing palm waste, we eliminate open-field burning and create new revenue streams for farmers and local communities..

Sustainable Plastic Alternative

NETA’s molded fiber products offer a practical, scalable replacement for single-use plastics — fully biodegradable, locally sourced, and designed for a cleaner, circular economy.

About Us

At NETA, we are farmers first. Living and working in the Arava Valley, we’ve faced the resilience-testing realities of modern agriculture—water scarcity, rising costs, and the constant need to think creatively to overcome challenges. Running a farm demands resourcefulness, mental strength, and a willingness to adapt, which is why turning NETA into a thriving company felt like the natural next step. Inspired by the untapped potential of date palm frond waste, we saw an opportunity to address pressing agricultural pain points head-on.

Our mission is clear: to transform agricultural waste into high-value molded fiber products that reduce plastic reliance and unlock circular economy opportunities for farmers and industries. Our first product, a biodegradable date box, showcases how natural fibers can be transformed into durable, functional, and market-ready packaging. With the same technology, these molds can evolve into nursery pots, trays, and additional packaging solutions, designed for practical, real-world applications. At NETA, we’re turning waste into opportunity and building scalable solutions that support the future of sustainable agriculture and manufacturing.

The Meaning
Behind NETA

In Hebrew, NETA (נטע) means “seedling” or “planting,” symbolizing growth, renewal, and sustainability. The name embodies our commitment to fostering innovation rooted in nature and nurturing the agricultural world through thoughtful and eco-friendly solutions.

Just like seedlings grow into thriving plants, NETA represents our vision to grow sustainable farming practices from the ground up.

The Legacy of Date Trees in the Middle East

For centuries, date palms have been the backbone of communities across the Middle East, thriving in arid regions where few other crops can survive. Known as the “tree of life,” they provide food, shade, and materials for shelter, fuel, and tools.

In desert environments like the Arava Valley, date trees are a symbol of resilience and resourcefulness, sustaining communities through challenging climates. They remain a cornerstone of the region’s agriculture and culture, connecting modern farming to ancient traditions.

By repurposing the fronds from date trees into biodegradable products, NETA honors this legacy, turning an ancient resource into a modern solution for sustainable agriculture.
